Parks To Visit In Brooklyn

Wanting to spend a day outside? Do you need some green in your city life? Or just looking to escape? Brooklyn has got you covered. Here is a list of some of my favorite parks in Brooklyn.

Prospect Park

Who needs Central Park when you have Prospect Park! Opened in 1867, Prospect Park was designed by Fredrick Law Olmstead and Calvert Vaux, who also designed Central Park. It is the second-largest park in the borough, with 526-acres. The park features a lake, skating rink, baseball fields, a bandshell, plus many miles of biking paths and hiking trails.

Brooklyn Bridge Park

While Manhattan might not be the best borough, its skyline is certainly amazing. Built on land once belonging to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, this 85-acre park offers the best view of the Manhattan skyline in the city and clear views of the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridge. The park also contains gardens, lawns, soccer fields, basketball and volleyball courts, plus much more.

Domino Park

Located in Williamsburg, Domino Park offers much more than its spectacular view of the Williamsburg Bridge and Manhattan. Once a former Domino sugar refinery, the park acknowledges its history with several restored pieces of factory equipment. Domino Park also features fields, a playground, a dog park, volleyball and bocce courts, and an elevated walkway.
